![]() While a reunion with Yumiko seems like the logical direction for her story, The Walking Dead universe is a cruel one. Magna was sidelined pretty quickly after her introduction. I think Lydia is in it for the long haul. That said, the writers have continued to find interesting ways to explore this character, and someone has to live on to lead the next generation of Alexandrians and Hilltoppers. With Alpha and Beta defeated, and their faction all but obliterated, I have to wonder what Lydia has left to do on the show. Lydia was at the center of Alexandria’s conflict with the Whisperers for a season and a half. While this likely will put her life in danger, she’s already escaped death once, so we’re not betting against her. ![]() Now she’s a journalist at the Commonwealth, working to uncover the deep corruption at the very center of Pamela Milton’s government. Although he’s disappeared, it’s possible we’ll see him again, possibly for one last sacrifice.Ĭonnie has a new lease on life after surviving the events of season 10. He soon went on a journey to atone for his sins, helping a disoriented Connie make it back home. You don’t just introduce a blade expert in a steel mask for no reason! Virgil (Kevin Carroll)Īfter debuting as somewhat of a villain, Virgil was spared by Michonne. When he returned in the final six episodes of season 10, the show just kind of moved on without fleshing him out, which is unfortunate since he looks so cool! I’m going to assume that the series is saving a big Elijah-focused episode for later in the season and that he’s too awesome to kill off. For weeks after his reveal, people wondered who the man in the steal mask could be. Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari)Įlijah made his debut in one of the most WTF moments of season 10 when he rescued Aaron and Alden from the Whisperers. Since she’s only just arrived and has a big part to play in the Commonwealth arc, we’d like her to survive until the end. Next, Negan and Maggie will set off on a new adventure to Manhattan in the spinoff series The Walking Dead: Dead City, which will debut on AMC and AMC+ in April 2023.One big twist later, we’ve finally met the actual Stephanie. She does tell him she is grateful for his protection of her son Hershel (Kien Michael Spiller). But even though she tells Negan when she remembers Glenn, all she can see is his bashed in head at the hands of Negan, who looks on with a smile. He finally gave Maggie the words she needed to hear, “I’m sorry,” about the death of her husband, Glenn (Steven Yeun). But, knowing they needed the numbers to come against the Reapers, they called a truce.Īfter the Reapers war, Negan set out on his own and would reappear after a small time jump with a new group, Riverside, a wife, Annie (Medina Senghore), who was pregnant with this child. Season 11 pitted him and Maggie against one another, and there were times when it seemed they would kill one another. He has worked hard to try and redeem himself, but perhaps he is too far gone for that. ![]() He has done many things fans, and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) feel are unforgivable. This allowed him to become VERY close to her you remember the scene, which made it much easier for him to kill her. He infiltrated their ranks and impressed her so much that she started to trust him. He worked with Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) to ensure that Alpha (Samantha Morton), the leader of the Whisperers, was killed. ![]() After he was imprisoned, Negan worked hard to redeem himself of his past sins. Negan did survive the finale episode of the series that aired in November 2022. The moral code Negan does follow is that of protecting the weak and is one trait carried in the series and comics. In the series, he is also able to meet and get to know Judith and even goes so far as to save her life. Negan’s physical appearance is more slight in the series, but he is still quite intimidating as he carries Lucille, his barbed wire covered bat, which happens to be his favorite weapon. He named his weapon after the love of his life and treated it better than many humans he knows. The comic Negan is also much more vulgar his first scene contains 23 swear words. He was, after all, loosely based on the musician and actor Henry Rollins, who was considered to be cast in the series for the role. In the comics, Negan is an imposing fella whose physical appearance alone could intimidate anyone. The comic Negan and the series Negan are very similar in many aspects, but there are quite a few differences. Negan was one of the comic storylines that fans of the comics couldn’t wait to see on the screen. One of the worst villains in TWDU is Negan Smith, portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The Walking Deadseries has many villains, most of which meet with a brutal death.
